I recently talked to my friend Gerald, he just came back from visit to Amsterdam. He said “it’s not like here, we’re normal people, not just entertainment” 
. I do get the feeling we’re about 15 years behind the Dutch – now they have another reason to take pity on us!
Obama Changes Patient Visitation Rights
It used to be you needed to be family or a spouse to visit a patient. Now, no matter what you are, the patient decides who will see them. Pretty common sense. What about trying that with the “rights and responsibilities” given by marriage. You can just say I am giving this person the responsibilities afforded in marriage. It doesn’t matter if you have sex, if you are blood or if you are romantically “in love”. If you wanna call it marriage and go to las vegas fine. If you wanna give those responsibilities to your next door neighbor.
